About

The On the Edge restaurant project was funded by the National Department of Tourism through the Expanded Public Works Program and developed in partnership with the Mooiuitsig Community Trust, who hold the commercial rights to manage the restaurant and eco-centre, allowing them to benefit from the influx of the more than 10 000 tourists who visit the spot every year.
“Stony Point is a perfect example of how social, economic and environmental responsibility comes together to create a workable and sustainable solution,” said Derek Hanekom, adding that while it is important to preserve places like these, it is also important to keep presenting it in the best possible manner, so that word spreads and people keep returning.
